Where can I get an Anatomy Jane?
I am pretty sure that after tonight's episode of Grey's Anatomy, a lot of people will be surfing the internet for it. Heck, I want one! I'd want Anatomy Joe for my son, if they have it!
So where does one get Anatomy Jane?

Here's one that has all the parts but none of the pretty...outer skin: Visible Woman Model.
These are kinda gross. And so expensive. Definitely not toys, but learning tools.
But there isn't anything else like the one Meredith had. Although what are the odds this will eventually be a popular item? And just in time for Christmas too! In fact, someone's already bought the site AnatomyJaneDoll.Com ... ka-ching!
So, with no actual Anatomy Janes for sale yet...would you settle for sedated pigs instead?

Dr. Owen, yo' is badass! :D
Addison's Versace Dress
I feel like I'm watching two shows --- the one where Addison is really doing great as a doctor, and the one with a bad ensemble of supporting cast.
Disappointed.
Anyway, I started doing an entry of Fashion on TV last week, but wasn't up to it this week for many reasons, one which had to do with the fact that... this week's making me really lazy. :P But I couldn't pass this up --- Addison's pretty Versace Belted Sheath Dress.

Looks really good on a tall person such as Addie. She is one of the best dressed female characters on TV today, no?
TV Round Up - Presidents, Remakes, Guest Stars, New Shows
How this election is so much like The West Wing...a show I still haven't completely seen in full. Maybe before I die. Heh.
No More Ex-List. Aw. I was enjoying that one.
Prison Breakers robbed on the set by real criminals!
The Cleaner starring Benjamin Bratt gets a Season 2. I started watching this before but stopped for one reason or another. Maybe I'll go check it out again, huh?
What does Jennifer Esposito think of Andrea, her character on Samantha Who?
It's official. Melrose Place remake on for next year.
What's up with Brooke White?
30 Rock wants Jon Hamm of Mad Men for Liz.
Courtney Cox has a new sitcom! There's where she is best at --- making us laugh.
Love this woman guesting on Grey's Anatomy.
Mighty Proud!
Don't have a lot of things to write about. I've reached my word per month quota, it seems. I am running out of things to say. And I don't even have an extensive vocabulary. :PBut anyway, I've been bawling my eyes out since this afternoon catching up on Drama TV. The best of which was from last week's episode of Friday Night Lights.
Dear Smash,
Mighty proud of what you have become and where you are heading. Good riddance.
Clear Eyes. Full Hearts. Can't Lose!
24: Redemption --- New Extended Trailer
The series's 7th season won't premiere until January next year but as you should know, there will be a TV movie first and that is set to air this November 23rd. So, mark your calendars get ready for television's biggest thrill ride!
They're treating the TV movie like a block buster film. It's going to be awesome. Watch the new extended trailer:
Video from The Live Feed (THR)
Kevin and Scott: My Couple Role Model
Scott became made at Kevin because the latter was behaving badly at the family dinner they had for Scott's visiting parents. Kevin said some words and Scott's mother got offended and walked out. And it was only because Kevin had such a bad day at work earlier.
And then Kevin apologized to his better half with this ---
I didn't make partner. They gave it to someone else and I couldn't say anything at dinner because I was so humiliated. This is by no means an excuse but when I left work, all I could think of was getting to you because I knew once I'd see you, I'd feel okay. And when I got there, the only pair of eyes that I wanted to see was yours because all I wanted was a hug.
Aww... best gay relationship on TV ever! *w00t* They make me swoon so much. My heart weakened like jello at this scene. How does that song go? They give LOVE a GOOD name.Scott and Kevin trumps even traditional relationships. They are so much better at being sensitive to each other's needs and feelings. I think that's real, true love, no?
And they're certainly so much better than the gay relationship Erica and Callie are having on Grey's Anatomy. :P Those women are behaving like sex-starved macho men.
These two, on the other hand, behave like emotionally connected women. Kinda confusing TV world we live in. I. love. it.
You, my man, are so cool!
I got a kick out of this week's episode on Life.
Damien Lewis, you so rock my world! Wheee!
Other than seeing Michael Cudlitz on scene with his Band of Brothers co-star Damien Lewis again (memories, good Band of Brothers memories!!!), these photos below pumped me up. Heroic...and kinda cool, too.
Also, this ---
Pencil stuck in the palm? Yoowza!
This kiss made me go "What?!" too, just like these two:
Dani and the new captain, really? Highly unlikely but...okay.
Don't forget, USA NBC viewers --- Life moves Wednesday nights from Fridays and switches with Lipstick Jungle beginning November 5th.
"These moves will play to the shows' mutual strengths and will help us to reinforce our lineup," said NBC co-chairs Ben Silverman and Marc Graboff. "A Wednesday night with wall-to-wall satisfying mysteries and great dramas -- paced by the return of the original 'Law & Order' to its home on Wednesdays – will provide creative continuity that night. Fridays will feature escapist drama with 'Lipstick Jungle' joining 'Crusoe.' Additionally, this strategy for 'Momma's Boys' offers the show a more favorable launch platform." --- NBC Press Release
Life will go head to head with Criminal Minds with this move. It's a competitive move and should do Life good if it's hoping to get a full season pick up in its sophomore year.
Aren't you watching The Starter Wife yet?
This week Molly is working on a pitch. She's been approached by someone from the industry to write a movie... that eventually became a TV series...about an ex-Hollywood wife...who was a Private Investigator...but was re-characterized as a Bounty Hounter. Hah. Hey, it wasn't her original idea. She had something better but the "suits" wanted her to go differently.
Anyway, for this project, she had to interview a real private investigator at her house with her friend, Joan ---
PI: When people lie they look to the right. Never fails...
Molly: I had no idea (writes notes)...
Joan: Why did you become a PI anyway?
Molly: Joan, I told you you could come over if you let me do my work and that includes letting me ask the question.
Joan: Don't you wanna know why he became a PI?
Molly: Ye-esss --- (to the PI) Why did you become a PI?
PI: When I was a teenager, I came out of the theater and my parents were gunned down in front of me in cold blood and I vowed right then and there that I would hunt down the killer while helping others get justice at the same time...
Molly: That's horrible!
Joan: That's BATMAN!
PI: ... okay. Okay...I was a rouge cop...
Molly: (inaudible) You're eyes just shifted right!!!
PI: You're good!
Survivor Philippines Week 6
The girl who slept a lot has been voted off this week. Nikki's boot was unanimous, her tribe mates have already determined this before Tribal Council. What was her strategy going into the game? She didn't seem to have one except sit back, lie down and try to get along with everyone.
She wasn't the strongest, she wasn't the smartest, she wasn't a leader, she wasn't even funny or interesting. She didn't contribute to the team at all. And she complained of homesickness.
You can blame all that on editing, but she was obviously picked for eye-candy.
She should have been out a long time ago, but the girl got lucky and has cruised through. Why her team kept her before Gigit or even Patani, I wouldn't know. And that says a lot about how stupid Jarakay's strategy is as a team...so now that it's a merge next week, they will be picked off one by one by the majority --- the other tribe.

I dropped Eleventh Hour figuring I'd catch it on cable sometime next year when it begins airing here.
So...Thursday nights are swift. That enabled me to catch up to DSM, Lipstick Jungle and whatever I haven't watch the previous nights and slipped an episode of No Heroics on as well. I've got my viewing schedule in order now. Yay, me!
And The Office ranked so low last night.

Denny Returns on Grey's Anatomy...AGAIN!

You know what...they shouldn't have killed him instead if they keep bringing him back!
EW's Ausiello is reporting Jeffrey Dean Morgan will be back on Grey's Anatomy. His episode will be airing on November 6.
Ahhh...sweeps week. No wonder.
What brings Denny back this time? I could tell you, but then Shonda Rhimes would kill me and, well, you'd all be up scoop's creek. Instead, I'll leave you with this tantalizing clue: Something happens in the episode that could easily set the stage for a Heigl departure at season's end. I'm not saying it will; only that it could.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan also has a recurring role on Eli Stone in that he played Eli Stone's deceased father. And the guy only had to be on the show twice, I think, considering Eli can imagine unusual things. On Grey's Anatomy...no one's sick like that. But he's been back without rhyme nor reason.
Australian Idol Top 7 - Sophie Patterson
But the problem was, she was only good in that, and that one thing only. For every song she sang, it sounded the same. There weren't enough songs to suit her voice. She plateaued rather quickly.
She was booted this week, the Motown week.
I kinda liked watching Sophie perform because she wasn't only pretty, she had killer legs.
Watch her final performance. Frankly, it was excruciating. She wasn't comfortable, clearly. But she was dressed for success anyway.
TV Ratings [10.22.08]
On the other hand, Gary Unmarried continues to surprise me. The characters aren't easily likeable but I keep finding something funny about it.
Also watched Private Practice. Third episode down, and the show has really been improving its stories.
New show Stylista premiered this week, don't really care for it.

First, next week is sweeps week!!! Just want you to know that.
Barney Stinson's Bro Code is really a book!
How I Met Your Mother's Lily is pregnant. In real life. I was wondering when that will happen. Both in real life and on the show.
Smash is gone? I have started watching Friday Nigh Light's 3rd season, but I still haven't gotten to this episode. Smash is gone?? :(
Uncle Saul, you've got taste. Lionel Luthor is a gruffy, hunky man for his age. Rawrr.
Private Practice gets a full season.
What has been going wrong with Heroes? EW finds the answers.
Veronica Mars' boyfriend and Meredith Grey's mom will be seen next in Washingtonienne, a comedy series for HBO.
Get to know the guy playing Ryan Lafferty-Walker in his first interview since being named a Walker.
I've posted the new Lost Promo Video for Season 5 in my Lost site yesterday. Here's an analysis from TV Squad.
30 Rock will premiere next Thursdays but online videos for the first episode is up. It's on the official site.
Watching Pushing Daisies Tonight!
The episode will have David Arquette as guest star. He will be returning later in the season as a possible love interest for Olive.
Also tonight, we get to meet Emerson's white mama!
See, it's a really wonderful show and you will be missing a lot if you don't tune to it.
TV Ratings [10.21.06]
Saw Fringe last night...drifted for a few minutes, seriously. The science talk is tuning me out. I mean, it's interesting but I think I'd have to start watching this show at a different time, when my mind isn't functioning less. But oh...Walter Bishop --- I want to take him home!
Haven't check out this week's all important Eli Stone episode with Katie Holmes. Apparently, some 300,000 of you also do not think it's worth checking out. I've seen some of this episode's clips on Youtube and Katie singing and dancing? Wasn't impressive, sorry.

This is for network TV only. I was hoping to put the ratings for cable TV, seeing that I've been watching Greek and it had been a good, solid two weeks for them too, story-wise...But cable's overrun with Presidential Debates and Season Games, it's hard to compete with that in the ratings.
Family Guy Season 6 DVD

There used to be a time when I'd watch Family Guy almost regularly when we still had it on cable. Now, I just follow it on DVD. Its Season 6 DVD has just been released the other day and it contains:
- Animatic Episodes With Audio Commentary
- Family Guy 100th Episode Special
- Family Guy Live! - "Just For Laughs"
- Peter Shin Draws Lois Featurette
- The Making of the 100th Episode
- Favorite Scenes
- "I'm Huge (and The Babes Go Wild)" Music Video
- Optional Censored Audio Track On Every Episode
- Over 50 Deleted Scenes
- Commentary On Every Episode By Creator Seth MacFarlane, Writers and Cast Members
Australian Idol Top 8 - Thahn Bui
Anyway, Thahn, who has Vietnamese roots, was part of an Asian boyband in the 90's. So, he already knows what it takes to sell records. He's been there, done it...and then lost it. When his group disbanded, he went back home in Australia and went solo, leading to the auditions in Australian Idol, to finally --- Top 8.
Thahn reminds me a lot of this local singer, Randy Santiago, who was quite big in our music scene back in the 80's. And that's where my problem with Thahn laid. His singing style was so outdated, so old, so cheesy. It just didn't feel right coming from someone who was under 30.
And, really....his falsetto's a mess. I don't know why no one has told him that when he sings his high notes, it doesn't sound good with the microphone on.
You be the judge and listen to his final song --- Shadow of the Day:
Kevin McKidd Returns on Grey's Anatomy
Look at these recent photos of Kevin McKidd and Sandra Oh on the set of Grey's Anatomy. Yep, the military man is back...and I still don't know what his official "Mc" code is! People keep calling him differently.

I just realized they look so good together, don't they not?

Catching up on British Programs: No Heroics & Secret Diary of A Call Girl
I have began watching UK's No Heroics, this superhero comedy I was talking about a few days back. It's not a whole lot of laugh, that I can honestly say. But it's different for TV.There are plenty of superhero characters the show can do without. But since it's a comedy series, their being there and not making sense? It's still making sense. (Unlike that other superhero TV show...) For instance, they have a character named Light Killer. What does he do? He can turn off lights. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha.
The heroes on No Heroics have a lot of flaws, just like us regular people. Like, the world's third strongest woman is actually annoyingly needy and insecure. She is, so far, my least favorite character.
Patrick Ballad (who is more familiar to me as that guy who is the opposite of Ricky Gervais' Office character, David Brent) is also in this cast and he plays the most popular superhero of 'em all. Except his ego is also huuuuge. He thinks he is above everyone else, judging by the number of TV appearances they have (the superheroes keep scores).
The costumes are outrageous...I should mention that. All superheroes are required to don capes and tights except when they are off duty. Most of them do not look good wearing it.
The humor is incredibly British --- self-effacing and downright pathetic. The Brits are masters of finding what's funny in that, which is sometimes harder for some people to grasp.
If you remember that Ben Stiller movie, Mystery Men, this show is a lot like it. Except a bit off-center with the humor. I kinda like that it's this weird.
Secret Diary of a Call Girl's second season is almost over. But to be honest, I've been quiet disappointed by it, in that...well, I used to revere in the idea that this a really cleverly written story about a prostitute; and yet her life is devoid of any drama. It was a fun and humorous look at being a call girl.
Season 2 is not at all like that. They allowed Belle/Hannah to fall in love and to have two men pining for her, too... As much as I like that they are there for eyecandy (coz the men are really hot!), Belle's personal relationships just complicated her situation... and then the drama started. Bleech.
Also, Billie Piper's pregnant body is really beginning to show. She only looks not pregnant via the face. Anything below it, Belle/Hannah is just huge. The actress is loving her pregnant body, but the camera and the show, where she plays a high class escort girl, aren't.
Will there be a third season and will they go back to being funny?
How I Met Your Mother Wedding Spoiler
So that means, Stella is officially off Ted's life. You could smell it coming. They made Stella so unlikable in previous episodes. It was a clear sign she was never going to be Mother.
But I did not expect it to end this way. Stella got back together with the father of her child. On the night of her wedding to Ted. Poor him.

Now, Ted can go back to the way his life was. Which may somehow complicate it --- does Robyn still have feelings for him? Then where does that put Barney into all this?
My mind is still trying to assess what had just happened.

Heroes as a Comedy Series? This I will watch!
I have quit watching Heroes...not watching it any longer.
Someone save the heroes, save that stupid show.
Now, in place of that...can someone tell me where I can watch this please?
No Heroics is a British comedy television series, which began on 18 September 2008. The series concerns the love lives and day-to-day trials of a group of friends who just happen to be off-duty superheroes.
More info here. Read it, it's funny!
House S5 E4 Birthmark
Wilson is back. Awww they do love each other.
The eulogy. This episode's story. Everything = worked.
House's daddy is James Bond.
The chemistry between Hugh Laurie and Robert Sean Leonard. How awesome are they together? AWESOME!
The original trio? Also back. Or at least Chase, Cameron and Foreman got back to doing differentials (which they haven't done in a loooong time...and is that what they call it? Differentials?)
Thirteen is Bubbles. Whihihi.
Mmmmbop ringtone. Thinking of getting one for my phone.
Paranoid Wilson. Or Boy Scout Wilson. However you wanna call it, Wilson's got a trunk fully prepared for an evacuation!

Glad I decided to watch this one last, before I go to bed tonight. I have a sweet, goofy smile on my face. This episode was perfect TV! Made my day.
Thank you, House writers, for making this show ever so wonderful.
Survivor Philippines Week 5
I missed two of the five episodes that ran this week. But I made sure to watch the Tribal Council last night, when John was voted off the island. His boot wasn't a shock. While he did his part during the challenges, John was in fact physically weak. He was the first castaway to be brought to the hospital for health reasons. His alliance and tribe mates saw this as a sign they have to take him out. The result? A unanimous vote. John was booted, 5 to 1.It may look as if his alliance betrayed him. But does his alliance have a choice? In this game, the only person who's been really hurt by the decision is John. Because he lost his chance at winning.
He know he's no longer valuable. His muscles have grown stiff. He has a deficiency. Which can only be corrected if he gets to rest and gets back to eating three balanced meals a day.
Besides, if that happened to anyone of his alliances, he will most likely vote to keep them out too.
Even if they kept John, he is not going to last the individual challenges now that the merge is about to happen. Can you imagine John during an endurance challenge? He will be the first one shivering from the cold out there.
His alliance didn't betray him.
His best friend in the game (Jace) did not betray him.
His body did.
This Week in TV Fashion [10.18.08]
Because I am a woman and that's what we notice. We check out what's cute and we pick fashion inspirations from these celebrities or their characters.
Well, TV land is like a whole runway, a fashion spread of what's hot and what's in. And lately, I've been noticing this a lot. So this week...here are my picks for the best of fashion on television:

Molly Kegan (Debra Messing). Greek-goddess inspired. She wore matching gold slippers (thongs), too. Is gold back in season? Here she is with a different outfit on (jeans) but was in lotsa jewelry like this ring.

BROTHERS AND SISTERS

Holly always wears nice jewelry. I loved two of her earrings this week.
CHUCK

Salmon is really Sarah's color.
THE EX-LIST

Bella is a fashion MISS. Her boobs are too big for her bikini top. Or she had on a size smaller than her cup. Miiiiss.

I also tried to watch the second episode of Kath & Kim. "Tried" because I quit after a couple of minutes. I just can't stand Kim and the actress playing her. Sorry, Kath.
I've put off watching Eleventh Hour too. Not for anything else, but because this is the kind of series that I just follow on cable television here. Which means, I'd get to see the episodes in like, six to twelve months from now since cable airings here are quite delayed.

TV Round Up: Matthew Perry, David Kelly, Robert de Niro on TV!
I missed this one while watching the show the other night, but do we have How I Met Your Mother clues? The way things are changing with Ted, it's safe to say he's unsure of his relationship with Stella. Alarm bells are going off. There could be a wedding (as they've filmed an episode of it), but I suppose there will be no union. It's going to end badly.
Script orders for Knight Rider. Bleeccch.
Fringe is getting a full season order, too. Yey!
Valentine and Easy Money shut down.
How lame is this year's season for sophomore series? Very.
ABC has more Eli Stone.
David E. Kelley's new law drama on NBC.
Jason Priestly guest stars as Brandon...on My Name is Earl. I've dropped this show from my viewing list, but I'm going to tune to this episode.
Robert De Niro is developing a TV series. Holy !@#$! I want! I want!
David Cook. His album launch is near.

“Bad Habits”- Chuck, Emerson and Ned go undercover as a Catholic nun and priests and pass themselves off as investigators from the Vatican to help Olive prove that her best pal at the nunnery (Mo Collins as Sister Larue) didn’t kill herself, but was actually murdered, on “Pushing Daisies,” WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 15 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on ABC.
and tell your friends about it!
Funny: MacGuyver Hairdresser
Anyway, the episode I saw had this crazy challenge with the hair-dressers using anything BUT the right scissors to cut hair. I think one of them used big garden scissors even.
I bring this up because this photo reminded me of that garden scissors...

Would you let someone from this salon do your hair?

Until Sunday or Monday next week, my viewing habits will be off-tracked for a little bit. Whereas I used to watch at least 5 shows in a day... I'm now down to one or two.
Girl's gotta live a life outside TV.
I just wish TV was also on a hiatus!

Worst Week's Erinn Hayes
Watched Worst Week's latest episode this week and I have been trying to figure something out since the pilot episode...who does this actress look like?I checked her profile on IMDb and I do not remember seeing her on some of the shows she's done like Shark and Unhitched, which I've seen. Granted, I vaguely remember these shows now.
Anyway, it's taken me awhile to figure it out until tonight. Erinn Hayes looks like Jorga Fox of CSI!
And if I had scrolled down Erinn's IMDb page the last time, I would've learned she actually did appear on CSI as a murder victim who looked a lot like Sara Sidle.
ABC Remakes V
I was about eight when my family became so addicted to this sci-fi series, V.From what I can remember, the show was about aliens looking like humans living on earth. And peeling their skin off would reveal, not blood, but green flesh.
I remember Diana (pictured). I can hear her in my head saying, "I give you my direct order!" in crisp British accent.
I remember lovely Jennifer Cooke, whose character Elizabeth was...if I remember correctly, part human - part alien. She was like the future queen or something. When my cousins and I would role-play V, we'd always fight over who gets to play Elizabeth.
And now Variety is reporting they will bring back this series from my childhood. Yep, V is going to get its own remake for 2009!
"V," the 1980s miniseries about alien lizards visiting Earth, will invade primetime once again. The complete report is here.
ABC is developing a new adaptation of the franchise — which spawned a second mini and TV spinoff — written by "The 4400" co-creator/exec producer Scott Peters.
"Whenever I mention ‘V’ to anybody, they still have a lot of good memories about the original movie and series," Peters said. "Everybody has that imagery of their uniforms, or the visitor eating a hamster. It’s a science fiction icon and too good to pass up."
The original "V" served as an allegory for the Holocaust and Nazi Germany. Peters said he won’t duplicate that concept, except that the new "V" will still focus on what happens when the masses have blind faith in their leaders.
In this case, the new "V" will center on Erica Evans, a Homeland Security agent with an aimless son who’s got problems. When the aliens arrive, her son gloms on to them — causing tension within the family. As in the original "V," several storylines will unfold simultaneously.
But even without the same storyline, the original "V’s" bones will remain: As in the ’80s version, the show will open with an enormous army of spaceships hovering over the world’s major cities. The visitors say they’ve come to help Earth, but their motives are nefarious (in the original, they wanted to steal the world’s water supply).
Musings from watching The Starter Wife's Season 2 Premiere
Catching up on The Starter Wife, which premiered its second season last Friday, I find this:
One of the story lines they went with was have Molly's journal stolen; her secret thoughts now revealed online via a gossip site. Molly is played by Debra Messing (who is slowly earning my respect as an actress, she is so great here!) and she works as a writer who planned to pitch her handwritten journal's entries as a humor book to a publisher. It contained her thoughts on the Hollywood circle --- wives, girlfriends, relationships between Hollywood's rich and privileged. But the deal didn't push through and someone steals her notebook from her. Then she discovers it all online.I'm not complaining. I actually like the episode and I have yet to continue watching Part 2 of the season premiere.
I'm just pausing to reflect on something --- in the way our social circles flow today. We do live in different times, don't we? We're so gossip-blog driven. Rumors travel a hundred times faster and nothing confirms this fact even more than to have not one, but at least four TV shows put this in their storylines! Art imitates life.
Technology's basic idea was to create for a simpler, more streamlined lifestyle.
But stuff like this? Knowing at any moment, you might find crap written about you on someone's blog?
The wonders of technology makes life seem so much more complicated.
Alright, musing done.
Will get back to watching TV now. :)

Survivor Philippines Week 4
Three girls left their camp this week. The first one was Patani, who had to go the same time as the last elimation in the Jarakay tribe, by virtue of the double Tribal Council. Only her elimination was aired after the weekend. So in our TV timeline, she went home this week. Patani's good to go though. She's gained more off the island rather than on it. With exposure (exfowsyur, as she'd say it) as the main reason why she joined, Patani is quite visible on Channel 7 these days. She got what she wanted. I bet she already feels like a winner.
Next to go was Nina, the working mom. Because she broke her foot in the last reward challenge, Nina couldn't play anymore. She walked back to her tribe, with her feet in a cast and told them she had to leave because the doctors explained to her it would be impossible for her to play. Her only consolation was she left without being voted out. But I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing. As competitive as she is (and she's one of the intelligent ones in this group of 18), it's a pity she will go down on record as the person who got defeated by an injury.
And then finally, last night's tribal council, Vevh was the latest castaway voted off. Poor, naive Vevh.... she also had her foot injured and was already limping. Before tribal council, she already knew she was leaving because some of her tribe mates are in an alliance and she isn't part of it. She resented that fact; cried over it. Says she went into the game trying to play fairly and to win good friends, not traitors. What the hell was this girl thinking joining Survivor?! If it was the way she thought, then voting her was a good call. I like Vevh as a person, she also sounds sensible like Nina. But as a player, she is so wrong for this game. Her final words --- she hoped her tribe mates aren't as "deceiving" as they are in real life. What is that?? Someone doesn't understand how this game is played. This week also had new twistsssss....several new twists, that I don't think having more twists will be good for this show. It's too much to take for someone who is already familiar with the program, how much more for someone who isn't?
Australian Idol Top 9 - Madam Parker
I liked her during the auditions but when it came to Top 12, it seemed she lost her spark or something.
Anyway, here's her final performance.
Kath & Kim S1 E1 Pilot
There were barely any of that in the US version. Maybe they were trying something different?
Kath and Kim is about a mother-daughter relationship.
Kath, the mom, is a single parent who's enjoying her independence with her grown-up daughter now married. She's dating, she's taking care of herself, she's enjoying her single life. She's also trapped in the 80's fashion era.
Kim, the daughter, is a spoiled little brat. She moves back to her mom's place all because she didn't come fully prepared to do her wifely duties...like "microwave food once in a while". Kim moving back to her mom's place kinda ruins her mom's social life. It's like Kath's going to be responsible for someone behaving like a nine year old again.
And that, in a nutshell, is what this comedy is all about.

The gem of the series is Molly Shannon. As Kath, the tacky suburban mom, she is perfect. Her years of experience being one of SNL's regulars in the 80's and the 90's show through. And it's a shame because from the get go, this show's already pegged as one that will be canceled early.
I'm not even sure I'm sticking around for the second episode. Selma Blair's Kim is just. really. annoying!!!
Surfing on Grey's Anatomy
Flooding on the halls of Seattle Grace? The scene had me really laughing! It's probably one of the silliest plots the show's ever come up with. Surely, it's a metaphor for something but I no longer have the energy to analyze what. What had me crying though was that story of the patient who felt severe pain in his head (brought about by a nerve in his nose). He told Christina that when his wife died, he couldn't mourn for her because all he could feel was that pain. How awful is that?
And these are all that I loved about this week's episode.
Bleech.

TV Round-Up: Renewals and Cancellations
This season's new big hit, The Mentalist, gets a full season. And here's why Simon Baker thinks it's a different kind of procedural.
Ditto Sons of Anarchy. Full season.
Entourage films 6th Season next year.
My Boys gets a third season.
The Riches is off the air.
Burn Notice and Psych are renewed.
British comedy Absolutely Fabulous gets an American remake via Fox.
I said it before and I'll say it again: it was a publicity stint for Californication!
David E. Kelly is working on a new legal drama. With Boston Legal's last season this year, Eli Stone should be the only legal show on regular TV. Doctor shows, we've got tons of. Lawyers, not so much.
Jason Priestly will actually be back on 90210.... to direct an episode.
10 Things I Hate About You is going to TV. That's the trend now I guess....turn movies into TV Series? Crash is going to debut soon.
The girls of Gossip Girls are not appearing on 30 Rock anymore.
Wednesday Wonders
My own personal first casualty of the season is actually part of this, the Wednesday block. Guess what it is? It's Knight Rider! Yep, after three episodes I am deciding to give up on it now. I am aware there are others who've stopped watching the program long before I did. I stuck around for three episodes hoping it will improve. This week, Kitt became a submarine! And while that was cool...and kinda odd...the whole show was completely boring! The actors? Cardboard flat! So, goodbye Knight Rider. I will miss the opening credits but I can always watch that on Youtube. This show is now off my list.
I'm still undecided on Gary Unmarried. Last week's episode made me rethink about my first impression (where I actually thought it was good). But then, just as I was so sure I'd swear this program off this week, the episode they had was....again, actually good. So, I'm sticking with the unmarried guy for now. It's a yo-yo situation.
Private Practice is beginning to win back my love. It is slowly connecting to me again and it's been great. This week, they had a similar case with House ---- a brother and sister falling in love with each other, not realizing they were blood related. Also, this week, Cooper just got cuter! Heh.
Lipstick Jungle was very interesting. There's a new boss in town and he fired Wendy! Not the least bit interested with Victory's new love conquest yet. But I cannot wait to see what her new shop would look like. Nico played a bit of office politics and I think she's officially my favorite among the three.
I've got my Pushing Daisies recap in another site, the link should come up later.
Because of time constraints, I've yet to watch this week's Dirty Sexy Money.

Dead Set - The Big Brother Horror Series
Most people are already familiar Big Brother. But E4 Channel in the UK has innovated the program further by marrying two genres --- reality TV and the horror genre, in the five part series called Dead Set.
What happens when housemates are locked inside the famous house, firmly isolated from the world, not knowing that the outside is already overrun by zombies?
Watch the teaser to Dead Set:
I do not have plans of watching this because horror isn't my genre of choice. But if you're curious, this show begins airing in the UK on Oct 27th.

Monday Marvels
Anyway. Marvelous Monday nights ---
- Penny becomes addicted to online gaming in the Big Bang Theory. How I thought this show was too corny the very first time is beyond me. BBT is probably one of the smartest comedies. And you know what? There aren't a lot of 'em on TV now!
- Ted lists the reasons why he loves New York over New Jersey in How I Met Your Mother. And I think I know one of the reasons why Stella isn't Mother. Oh, and Robin is moving to Japan. What is going on?
- Sam's still having his worst luck on the Worst Week. They've introduced a third or fourth sibling. My god, how many brothers and sisters does Sam's girlfriend have? I crack up a lot when I'm watching this show but the jokes are mostly stupid. Between BBT and WW, my IQ points fluctuate.
- Bryce is back on Chuck!!!!!!!!!! Yum. Also, it is official --- Chuck is James Bond now.
- I have yet to break-up with (breakaway from) Grey's Anatomy and it seems I'm also going to do the same for Heroes. Can they do a Sylar spinoff instead? Mohinder = eeeeeeewwww!

Valentine S1 E1 Pilot
The CW outsources TV programs now. Valentine is one of it. It was outsourced from Media Rights Capital and Tribune Broadcasting. The show has this whimsical premise my son thought was a lot like Pushing Daisies when he saw the first two minutes. But the comparison ends there.
Valentine is about Greek gods living in modern day Hollywood...in a world where relationships are built on text messages and internet dating services. The gods run their own matchmaking service not for profit, but because they need to stay immortal. People have to believe in true love, still. Or they lose their powers and die like humans. In order to get the pulse of the times, they enlist a mortal, a romance book author, to help them.
The gods are led by Aphrodite played by Jaime Murray, and she pretty much fits it. But something about this show just doesn't work. A really weak story, perhaps? How many episodes before all these antics grow tired and old?
I still am not sure if I want to watch the next episodes (that is, if it doesn't get yanked by next week). A part of me is curious....so maybe I will. But I can't still put a seal of approval to this.
To quote one of the characters, Danny Valentine (aka Cupid) --- I am not buying into this mushy, gag-me-Nora-Ephron crap!
I'm not that convinced.
Here's a preview if you're curious, too:
I won P500.00!
I signed up this blog for its services (ads) a few months back. Nuffnang has been quite popular in Singapore and they recently opened up their offices here. They held a contest in early Sept, if I remember right.
So, yeah... this blog is one of the lucky 68. Big odds though. But since I do not win a lot of contests and have such poor luck with it, this one's a welcome surprise!

Whoohoo. Thanks, NuffnangPH.
Survivor Philippines Week 3
I got spoiled. And it got this week's elimination right.Gigit was voted off this week. According to spoilers he was booted early because he was able to blog on his journal while the filming of the show was still happening. He did not take down the entry, but he removed the date, I think.
He did not see it coming. If I wasn't spoiled I also wouldn't see it coming; he was one of five possible people who could get the boot. Just a bit surprised the vote was unanimous, when there are two alliances in the group. They were united for this one? How did that happen? (Marlon!!!!) Jarakay is so stupid for voting an asset to the tribe at this point. Worse, it's a double elimination. Someone else will go in the next episode (Monday).
There was something new in last Friday's tribal council. The castaways were asked to stand away from the Tribal Council area one by one while the rest of the castaways talked about them with Paolo Bediones (host). According to the him, the Caucasians (people from the Survivor franchise) saw this new "twist" and liked it. If they should adapt it in other countries, well you know where the idea came first.
Only, this is so typically Pinoy. It's so passive-aggressive. Tribal council is where confrontations happen. It's where you put everything out on the table, and then hopefully arrive at a closure. Or deal with it again when you go back to the camp.
But this new twist allows the others to spill what they feel, without the benefit of the other person hearing it because he's standing far away. What happens when you get back to camp and the ally of that person you squealed at tells him a different story of what you said in the council?
By the way, that's a weird photo of Gigit up there. What's he mimicking? An action figure?
Australian Idol Top 10 - Tom Williams
The Ex List S1 E1 Pilot
Let's see...while watching, I had....
- the Juno vibe, because the characters talk the way they talk in Juno, only Bella and her friends on The Ex List are grown ups (in their 30's) so they're cooler.
- the My Name is Earl vibe, because Bella has to cross off names of her ex-boyfriends in a list.
- the How I Met Your Mother vibe, because Bella is surrounded by a similar silly bunch of people. Her best friend has a vagina toupee! How crazy is that?

The Ex-List is adapted from an Israeli TV show. It starts off with Bella (Ava/Rebecca on Grey's Anatomy) learning from a fortune teller that she only has one year to go and get married, for otherwise? She will be a spinster forever. The fortune teller also told her she already has met the man, her future husband. She's dated him in the past.
So, you get the idea. Every week, Bella's going to reunite with an ex, in the hopes of finding the man whom she will have to marry within the year.
The first man Bella reunites with is an ex from 2001. Bella thought he was a loser....she really broke his heart. Seven years after that, the guy is all tattooed, in leather and is singing in a rock band. They do hook up again. But Bella learns the hard and most embarrassing way --- the guy was after revenge and humiliation all along.
Here, have a peek at The Ex List:
Lipstick Jungle's Nico Reilly: Fashion Icon
I don't exactly have a TV fashion icon (yet). But it looks like I'm growing to appreciate Lipstick Jungle's stylist, Daniel Lawson. He's the one responsible for dressing up the three leading ladies of the show.
This week's episode (Chapter 9: Help!), I saw three clothes Nico Reilly wore that I thought were fabulous-o!

Daniel dresses up this character in classic elegance (think Jackie O) mixed with something fun and trendy. It creates a nice balance which speaks too much of her kind of lifestyle --- Nico is a strong, intelligent, independent woman working as an editor-in-chief of a top lifestyle magazine; and then she's also boinking (did I just say boinking!?) and finding love renewed (they weren't just boinking!) with a hottie who is twice younger than her.
Nico isn't exactly what I'd consider beautiful. Her physical features are far from perfect. But the clothes do make her look smashing and gorgeous.
Chic, no?
TV Round Up: Have you trimmed down on your TV viewing yet?
I did not know October Road will be back. I thought they have canceled this.
Viewers like Privileged. But why isn't it rating well?
Robin, Batman's sidekick is coming to television via The CW. Since Smallville has reached its peak, this is the show that will replace it. It will be a series about Robin's family and youth.
You can watch Crash online before it airs on TV. This is based on that movie that won Best Picture at the Oscar's several years back. I did not like the movie...not sure If I will like the TV show.
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles may be terminated real soon.
Tina Fey book deal? I'll read it!
Fringe gets a full season.
Uh-oh, actors strike!!! Grrrr...
Junior years (Season 3): Dexter is back on, doing great on cable TV. Friday Night Lights is also back on Direct TV...I am not sure if I can watch this one. :(
Valentine on CW. I didn't know what it was till I saw the press clips. I like the concept so I am going to watch it. But I'm not hopeful it's any good. I could be wrong.
What I'm watching on Tireless Thursdays
Thursdays are usually all about The Office, then some Grey's Anatomy but instead we're getting politics tonight. But there are new episodes of Ugly Betty and (I think, not sure) Survivor Gabon. Now these, I can watch sometime during the weekend. And yes, I've gone back to watching Survivor, after giving up the last 8 seasons.
Next week though, three new shows will premiere --- the re-vamped Life on Mars, Kath and Kim and the Eleventh Hour. I'm curious about the last one.
And then of course, 30 Rock comes back at the end of the month. Wheee!

It's was a bit encouraging to see. Even the way she handled Tim, who was looking into the prospects of dating her, was how the Addison we know and love would've handled it. She wasn't this neurotic pre-pubescent 40 yeard old woman the writers made her out last season.Prior to the premiere, it's been reported that this show will get rehabilitated. I see that... there have been little changes. All the other characters seemed to have dialed down a bit. I am hopeful, even when, that punch this show needs is still missing.
I just am really glad for the old Addison coming back.
What I'm watching on Wacky Wednesdays
Wednesdays bring back one of my best-loved TV series, Pushing Daisies. Like everyone else, I have been hungry for new stories from this show and based on the teasers, I know it's going to be a great year.
Also returning for their second seasons are Private Practice and Dirty Sexy Money. I did not enjoy Private Practice last year, so hope the retooling will do wonders. And DSM is quite the underrated TV show...looking forward to this one, as well.
I am not missing Lipstick Jungle episodes, no way. I've started to really love this show.
I'll give Gary Unmarried another try. It may be a nice break from all the drama I'm supposed to be watching tonight.
I am not sure if I should give up on Knight Rider just yet. Should I?
Sons of Anarchy I have this on the pile but have not taken a peek yet. I'm waiting for the full season to run before watching anything.

I'm still thinking if I should check out The Mentalist again. It did really, really well when it premiered last week. The only thing missing? Eli Stone, which doesn't premiere until the 14th.
I'd like to say Tuesdays are manageable. But these are one hour shows. And some of them are quite heavy to take on the brain; it requires my thought process going.
