How did this happen???

I'm suddenly swamped with things to do and with little time to do it. Dunno how it happened... I've not been behind but I've been struggling with keeping a schedule. Is the summer weather pushing me to slack?

Anyway... weirdness:

On House. First episode back after the strike and I do not know what went wrong. House and Cutthroat Bitch fight for custody of Wilson. How did that happen? Why did that have to happen. And why is Wilson not saying something about it, that wuss. Not the best episode ever.

On How I Met Your Mother. Ted shows real feelings of disappointment over Barney sleeping with Ted's ex. It's weird to see that knowing how convoluted plot developments are in this series. But I like that he reacted that way and showed, actual, human emotions.

On Samantha Who? Things are getting weird for Sam and her ex-boyfriend Todd. Are they getting back together? I've been asking this question since the 3rd episode back.

On American Idol tonight, which I haven't seen yet but have already read about. Simon called it the weirdest show yet, on account of Paula.

On Law and Order SVU tonight --- it's gonna be the the first time I'm watching this show straight after it's airing, I usually just try to catch delayed episodes on cable. The reason? Robin Williams is the guest actor....so, I can't wait to see that.

Clark Kent finally looks the part!

So, here he is...he's finally wearing the trademark glasses. According to the TV Addict, this should be seen in the episode, Apocalypse, which is in fact Smallville's 150th.  The show is still on? Really? I haven't been able to get caught up with this show for about two seasons now (yep, 6th and 7th). And I keep reading important characters are leaving.

Huh.

Britner Spears back on How I Met Your Mother

Yep, they're having her baby...one more time. She will be back on the May 12th episode, according to E! She will play Barney's Girlfriend....(wait a minute, what has happened to this?). Barney and Ted have a falling out, too. On account of...oh, yeah this.

From E!
Barney: Oh, wow, Ted, long time no see. I guess you're wondering why I haven't called in a while. See, I'm kind of done with the whole having a life and being awesome thing. Now I'm all about staying in, wearing loose-fitting clothing, and watching bad movies my girlfriend makes us watch.

Ted: That so?

Barney: I'm sorry, have you guys met my girlfriend, Abby? She's my girlfriend, and I just love her love her love her. We're in love, just like Tom and Katie. [Jumping up] I'm in love! And there's nothing about it that makes everyone around me uncomfortable or annoyed!"

Brothers and Sisters S2 E14 Double Negative

I'm gonna put it right out there with the spoiler: Becca is not a Walker!

And she lies to Justin about the results. There's a hint of disappointment in Justin. It looks like he's beginning to fall in love with her and was wishing she wasn't her sister.

*sigh*

Previously on...

I've done the recaps of this week's episode of:
  • THE OFFICE - Seriously, how dare you Ryan?! LOL!
  • LOST - it's now really the best show on TV. Ever! To be truthful, recapping this show is DIFFICULT. But nitpicking it? Learning something new about it? Food to my TV brain. It's wonderful.
Discussed on:

My weekend is swamped. Between a deadline, a few TV DVDs I have to finish (some are borrowed, hence the "HAVE TO") and watching other programs that aired this week --- I'm pretty beat.

Heck, I love it.

Oh, yeah...saw Ugly Betty's newest episode late last night, with Betty's bday episode. I wasn't too fond of it because Betty isn't my favorite character in the program. And this week, it was all about her. Maybe it's just me, but Ugly Betty is a lot more fun when it's not about ugly Betty.

Pilot Watch: Castle, Tower and an Alyssa Milano starrer

I haven't done this in a while, but there are actually a lot of new shows coming next season. There's a new one reported almost every week that it's hard to keep up. But this one I can't pass up because the first one stars one of the sleekest, funniest guys I admire, the second one stars a really good actress, and the third one is a concept I can get on board with.

Here are three new shows TV crackheads should look forward to in the coming season:

* CASTLE
Starring Nathan Fillon (Firefly, Desperate Housewives)
- Rob Bowman ("Day Break") has come aboard to direct the pilot, a drama about a horror novelist who consults for the NYPD. He'll work from a script by creator Andrew Marlowe who's executive producing alongside Laurie Zaks and Armyan Bernstein. ABC Studios is co-producing with Bernstein's Beacon Television.

NATHAN FILLON!!

* THE TOWER
Starring CCH Pounder (The Shield)
- About a group of Chicago reporters who treat breaking news as cases to be investigated and solved.

Watch CCH Pounder talk about her new show here.

* (YET UNTITLED COMEDY)
Starring Alyssa Milano (Charmed)
- Comedy centers on a thirtysomething woman who tries to break free of her overbearing and dysfunctional family, friends and boss

It's similar to Samantha Who, minus the amnesia.

Too many shows lined up for next season. Wonder which ones are gonna stick around.

Grey's Anatomy S4 E12 Where The Wild Things Are

So, let's see...where are we on Grey's Anatomy?

- Meredith is seeing a shrink
- George and Lexi are now roomies, sharing a CRAPartment with cockroaches as big as transistor radio batteries (do they still make transistor radios by the way?)

- There is a contest among the surgical residents, for points.
- Miranda Bailey, who doesn't wanna be killed Nazi anymore, tells the chief, her residents are just committed.
- Miranda Bailey brings Tucker to the hospital daycare now.

- They seem happy. --->
- But Christina assures Meredith she's wretched and mean.
- Derek tells Mark Sloane he and Rose have not slept together yet.
- She's waiting for the right time.
- Erica Hahn and Callie, Christina's roomie, they are buddy-buddies.
- A patient comes in with his intestines in Christina's hands. INTESTINES IN CHRISTINA'S HANDS!!!

- Bear attack he says. The victim can still talk. Well, of course he can...the voice box isn't located in the intestines.
- And I'm just 8 minutes into this!
- Izzie tells George they get 80 points for solving a medical mystery. (Dr House, are you in Seattle Grace?)
- Meredith connects with one of the patients. In matters of the heart.
- Sloan's cute. Tells Meredith --- Derek and Rose --- it's not gonna last.
- Lexi is hoarding and stealing hospital items for their CRAPartment.
- Rose blurts out she loves Derek to Lexi, a stranger to her.
- Meredith overhears it.
- Mer wins the contest. She wins a 'sparkle pager' passed out from resident to resident. And she can choose the surgeries the others are scrubbing on and take it from them.

- Something got gay between Derek and Mark in the elevator.
- Lexi has this whole speech about their new apartment and becoming George's friend.
- Would've wanted to steal the TV at the hospital. But it's bolted.
- Meredith finds a way to save lives. She needs Derek's help.

American Idol: Top 6 Carly Smithson

Okay, I admit --- I'm losing interest. "Always Be My Baby" was pretty much the highlight for me. I already have my winner but the show is still picking from the six (now down to five).

So, what can I say about Carly Smithson? I like her alright. I recognize she's talented but I do see what Simon has been saying all along about her --- that she's picking the wrong songs. And I can't get this image off my head when I think of her!

Carly you rocked. But let's face it --- it is going to be the battle between Davids. It's a good thing you left on a high point though. Your last performance was one of your best.

OMG, Ken Lee is back!!!

This one is for Carly Smithson, who got booted out of Idol today and who sang the better version of this song on American Idol last week.

Ken Lee, singing "Without You" with....ta-daaaah -- the right lyrics!

Well, almost.

She's still a riot. She brought the house down! Not everyone singing on Idol can claim to have done that.

My weekly Idol post for Carly, later.

Funny Monday: How I Met Your Mother S3 E16, Big Bang Theory S1 E13, Samantha Who S1 E12

Alright, watching, done!

1) There's a big spoiler on How I Met Your Mother this week. I wrote it on ClickTV.

2) I did not get a lot of what went on in the Big Bang Theory tonight. They had a quiz contest and really, only geeks would be able to understand most of it. All of it.

But this line made me laugh out loud.

3) Deanna finds someone on Samantha Who? and why should she not, she's a pretty girl!

And Samantha quits her job. She's slowly discovering the kind of person she wants to be, post-amnesia.

I wish I could post more, but being out the whole day today exhausted the crap out of me. I'm gonna curl up in bed now and watch more TV.

I interrupt this program...

Well, I just got back from....the outside world. You know, where trees, cars and buildings are. I stay cooped inside the house most days and am glued to the TV or the internet, so I seldom get to see what it's like outside our neighborhood.

I hate the traffic. I hate the heat. So, what's really there to see? It's not like this is the province, where I grew up... and I can bike on the main streets or do something refreshing like that. Although, I have not been back home for almost ten years now, things have changed there, too I'm told.

Coincidentally, today is also TURN OFF YOUR TV DAY, a yearly event that I only learned now. But because TV isn't the only medium that's keeping couch potatoes where they are, TURN OFF YOUR TV DAY is now TURN OFF 'WHATEVER GADGET' DAY.

I didn't go out because of that.

I was out because I had to earn my keep --- talk to people, close businesses. I've to do the same thing again tomorrow. :P The few times I have to do that, it has to happen on the day I'm expecting Robin Sparkles!

So, let me just get things in order here, queue the shows I'm supposed to be watching and get back to you, okay?

Oh, wait a few more things before I start my TV viewing ---
- I began to play Sims 2 again last night! I had my FRIENDS characters in there for so long, I added a new family --- HIMYM! Later, if my body's still up for it, I'm adding a couple --- Desmond and Penny (from LOST).
- I'm also checking out a new reality TV series called, THE PAPER.

Later, couchies.

Brothers and Sisters S2 E13 Separation Anxiety

"Stop it! I'm not moving away because I need to replace your father or I'm afraid to be alone or whatever else I can think of -- I'm leaving to get away from all of you! You think I don't notice all the eye rolling and sighing, little looks you give each other every time I open my mouth? You're constantly complaining that I'm manipulative and I'm controlling and I'm trying to invade your lives. Well take a good look in the mirror my darling children! I try to change one thing in my life and you all launch so many covert actions you might as well be the CIA. Oh, god, it felt so good to make a decision for myself without taking everyone else's feelings into account. No, I'm doing this for me, and frankly it's about damn time."

- Nora Walker, to her kids, when they thought she's moving to Washington DC with her new boyfriend for the wrong reasons.

Some recaps on my other blog - ClickTV

20 April 2008

What's on TV this week? Just --- THE BEST WEEK EVER!

The best week of TV begins this week....I do not know how I will ever get something done or where I should start. I feel some pressure....alright, extreme pressure. And yet I'm also very, very excited about it. I think this week, I'll feel a lot like a newly grad on her first day at work --- anxious, eager, exhausted but fulfilled.

So, are you ready for TV this week? Here's what is on and what's surely going to make my schedule all crazy (with the episode synopsis from their official sites and Spoilerfix):

April 24
  • Six weeks after Derek and Meredith ended their relationship and Derek began dating Rose, Meredith and her fellow residents, Alex, Izzie and Cristina, compete in a surgical contest, with Bailey serving as judge. Meanwhile interns George and Lexie adjust to their new, squalid apartment, and Callie finds a friend in her roommate Cristina's nemesis, Erica Hahn.
Aside from this, I'm also...
  • watching new episodes of My Name is Earl and The Big Bang Theory
  • catching up on three episodes of Greek
  • proceeding with DVD Marathon I began last week: 1) Scrubs 2nd Season, which finally arrived from Amazon (freebie! whee!), and 2) Arrested Development - which I'm introducing to my son, am sort of testing if he'd get the humor...and you know what? He digs it!
  • tuning to Bostong Legal and Lost Season 2 on cable. Just because.
  • rooting for my favorite Idols on American Idol.
I wish there was a way I could get myself a powerful satellite or something...and move to Venus. Because over there? The days are longer...something I'd need to have to finish all these shows and still be productive.

Have a great week ahead!

Elsewhere...in my other blogs (The Office, Eli Stone)

Read THE OFFICE recap

Pam: I'm not gonna move in with anyone unless I'm engaged.
Jim: Have I not proposed to you yet?
Pam: Hmmmm...I don't....no.
Jim: Well, that's coming.
Pam: Oh, right now?
Jim: No...I won't do it right here, that would be rather lame
Pam: Okay, so then when?
Jim: Pam, I'm not gonna tell you. I hate to break it to you but that's not how it's gonna work. I'm serious...it's happening. And when it happens, it's going to kick your ass, Beesly. So, stay sharp.

Read ELI STONE assessment

Eli: I have a new client. He's dying of cancer, he said God spoke to him.
Dr. Chen: Did He use a musical number?
Eli: No, He just took away his burdens, feels like this great weight has been lifted off him. Makes me think....
Dr. Chen: What has God done for you lately?
Eli: Well, yeah. This guy He grants inner peace, and me, He just wanna scare the crap out of.
Dr. Chen: Maybe God's showing you His love by scaring the crap out of you.
Eli: The spiritual corporal punishment?

Sex and the City Movie Shocker: Someone Dies!

You've probably seen the movie trailer now and know that something happens even before Carrie's wedding.

This site is saying Cynthia Nixon (Miranda) revealed someone is dying in the movie...she didn't say who but it may have to be Mr. Big.
Loose-lipped Cynthia Nixon has confirmed that a character in the movie (which is released in six weeks. Six weeks!), gulp, dies. Obviously, Cynthia isn’t so gobby that she’s let slip who that character might be, but there’s mucho speculation that it could be Big who pegs it – mainly because of his heart problems in the TV show, and the fact that we already know there’s a huge question mark over his wedding to Carrie.

No happily ever after?

Could the one dying be...the Sex and the City franchise itself?

CSI in the 90's

What if it was an Aaron Spelling project?

Too much like Melrose Place, no?

American Idol: Top 7 Kristy Lee Cook

Kristy Lee Cook made it past Top 10. On hindsight, that was all she had to prove to Simon. Her performance last night wasn't the weakest. My girl Brooke was (still cheering you on even if you're losing shine, girl!).

In fact, Kristy was actually getting better and better. But perhaps American could not forget how many times she's been in the bottom three. And there's one too many Cooks this season. So, really...it was her time to go.

I'm putting up a different photo of this week's castoff, where I would normally put the profile photo from American Idol's official site. I just think she deserves a lot more credit, based on what I've seen the last three weeks. She's not the best singer in the bunch but I think she won me over with her cute sense of humor and cool demeanor. And I think she's gotten rid of that horse stance. I don't remember seeing her do it anymore. Am I right? Big improvement!

Plus last night? She was absolutely stunning.

So here she is, waving bye-bye!

Too bad, KLC...just when I was beginning to like you.

This week is probably one of the better weeks Idol's had. It doesn't make up for Michael Johns leaving early, but I did enjoy the remaining seven sing Mariah Carey's hits.

Everyone's talking about David Cook and you know what this guy is doing? He's keeping people interested. I'm sure you're wondering what David Cook's going to do next, huh? Because I am and I can't wait for him next week, when they do Showtunes with Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Also last night, they had Elliot Yamin performing. That was a touching message he had on his palm for his mom. Aww.

That's why this momma loves this boy.

HIMYM Robin Sparkles' Sandcastles in the Sand

TV Guide reported last week:
The April 21 episode of How I Met Your Mother is turning into a wonderful '80s flashback. Already marking the return of Robin Sparkles, the outing will feature visits from former teen popstress Tiffany and Growing Pains' Alan Thicke, playing Ms. Sparkles' gal pal and father, respectively, in a newly unearthed video for "Sandcastles in the Sand," a ballad Robin wrote upon being dumped by her backup-dancer beau (Dawson's Creek's James Van Der Beek).

HIMYM co-creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas wrote and composed "Sandcastles in the Sand" as the B-side of "Let's Go to the Mall," using iconic '80s breakup ballads such as "Foolish Beat" and "Toy Soldiers" as inspiration.
Found her song! Listen to SANDCASTLES IN THE SAND

A background on Robin Sparkles, if you're just catching up on How I Met Your Mother (c/o Variety):
Sparkles is the alter ego of Robin Scherbatsky, a core character on the Eye's "How I Met Your Mother" played by Cobie Smulders. Canada's answer to Debbie Gibson made her first appearance on "HIMYM" back in November 2006 via a fake music video for the fake hit single "Let's Go to the Mall."
Last week, Cobie Smulders and the crew supposedly shot the music video for Sandcastles in the Sand in Malibu and snippets of this is expected to debut on the internet tomorrow.

April 21 is an HIMYM can't miss!

Comedy Monday Treats: How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Samantha Who

As much as I love Comedy Thursdays on NBC, I also fervently enjoy some Comedy Mondays on CBS (and ABC) as well. I'd like to think I know very well what this article is talking about in that --- I am not missing out on most things in the funny department. You could say, I'm either a sitcom snob or the square gal who still enjoys old style sitcom pacing. The most important thing is, I've got the best of both worlds!

So, earlier... I enjoyed me a couple of Monday's comedy best with HIMYM, TBBT and Sam Who.

This week's story on How I Met Your Mother --- Marshall is having major problems at work. And as much as I think he's my most favored character in this series, this wasn't a particularly exciting episode. The highlight of the night, really, was Robin's Vanilla Ice Cream (see photo)...which left me craving for it (and sadly can't have because I still have this terrible cough!)

Anyway, this story was originally called The Ninja Report.

Marshall: So, I'm working on this report called, "Using 23Bs on B3 Class Action Precedent..."
Ted: Dude, you lost us. Can you just call it something cool like, "The Ninja Report"

But the episode title was later changed to The Chain of Screaming. And here's Barney to explain the theory:

The last part of this episode, with Marshall finally telling Lily the case with his boss and his job? It was cheesy. But I confess, it made my eyes misty though...it reminded me of how very true it is for young, new couples coming face to face with life's realities. (Hell, that's one cheesy statement!)

Following my viewing of HIMYM was The Big Bang Theory...

You know what, it's really gonna be very hard to explain this show, without sounding like a geeky loser myself, so I'm not even gonna try. Let me just bring you this clip of how this show is able to find something funny in the problem with teleportation. Watch the guy in stripes (Sheldon). He's IQ is 187, a stiff, self-righteous nerd who is actually the best thing about this series.

And finally, to close this day's triple treat is Samantha Who?. Big surprise of the night? Timothy Olyphant (Hitman), whose hair is already growing back. I didn't know he was going to be a guest this week (didn't read synopsis or watched previews) and would love for him to come back. (Is he?)

Timothy Olyphant played Samantha's boss, Winston Funk, who comes to the office offering Sam the biggest, heaviest engagement ring any girl could have. Apparently, while Funk was on the verge of divorcing his wife, he was also dating pre-amnesia Sam....who, it's clear to me now, has been a very busy, bad, bad girl dating plenty of men on the side, even with Todd (Barry Watson) as her boyfriend.

By the way, Timothy Olyphant and Barry Watson? Look-a-likes! Google their images up!

Anyway, making this all too fuzzy for Sam is the fact that she realizes her best friend, Andrea, has her eyes on their billionaire boss as well.

Uh-oh...how will her BFF react when she learns of the marriage proposal? Does Sam really love Winston Funk enough to marry him? And what about Todd, what would he feel about seeing Sam's picture on the gossip pages with Mr. Funk?

Hooray for Comedy Mondays!

14 April 2008

My boyfriend attacks my other boyfriend!

Ah, my beautiful, talented men on TV; my TV boyfriends...they're not being nice to each other! Or at least one of 'em isn't.

I don't know if there's any truth to this news or it's a publicity stint but I'm just glad they aren't fighting over me. Coz I wouldn't wanna have to choose between the two. I won't be able to handle this kind of pressure... (I'm allowed to dream, am I not?)

Damian Lewis has launched a scathing attack on fellow British actor Hugh Laurie - insisting he's not the only Brit to find success in the U.S.

Lewis - who starred in 2001 war series Band of Brothers - is amazed by the amount of publicity the House star has garnered since the medical show began in 2004, because he believes Laurie isn't alone in carving out a career in Hollywood.

He says, "English actors have been successful on U.S. TV for years. Hugh is not the first to be successful in LA and he will certainly not be the last."

Heroes Season 3 Spoilers and Why, Survivor Philippines?

Hey, you...

If you've been checking this blog everyday and have found nothing new, I've been actually keeping a daily update on this other TV blog I was tasked to build traffic for. So, if you don't see me here, there's a good chance I've been hauling my big couch potato ass on ClickTV.

This doesn't mean I'm abandoning this blog. I just have to give the other one extra attention, since it's fairly new. Mom bloggers will understand when I say that a new blog is like a baby --- we've got to wean them for awhile.

When I've found my balance, and as new episodes stock up... then I can continue to bore you with TV stuff over here, too.

So, in the meantime, head over there as I've just posted some Heroes Spoilers: someone we already know is getting new special powers. And also, I talked about the upcoming program, Survivor Philippines.

Speaking of the Survivor Franchise --- I just checked Survivor South Africa this afternoon because I got curious, I've never watch any other version except the US. And I WAS BORED TO DEATH. The castaways they had? Boring personalities...everyone was nicey-nice. I don't think they understood the game. The host didn't help either. He spoke in one tone. The challenges? Eh. I don't think I'm gonna go and check the German version I was able to get hold of. I'm quite sure I'd end up more or less bored, too. Besides, I wouldn't understand it.

I hope to the immunity idol, the Philippine franchise knows what it's doing!

Hey, hey, hey...TV junkie here, getting her fix!

It's wonderful to be spending a lazy day watching comedies!

I've rounded up this week's stories on Click TV (30 Rock, Scrubs, My Name Is Earl), as well as provided a recap of The Office: here.

I think I need to see a doctor about having my eyes checked soon. This monitor is suddenly blurry...

American Idol: Top 8 Michael Johns

Well, I didn't watch this week's performance night yet. I might pick it up on YouTube later. But like most people....STUNNED about tonight's result.

Michael Johns? You could say he was Daughtry-ed.

He clearly was not gonna win this one. Top place already has the name Archuleta written on it. :P But Michael was Top 4 material and for sure, voters got it wrong tonight. They said no to an Australian Idol.

Who's gonna be Cookie's tummy-bump partner now that he's gone?

Samantha Who? S1 E10 The Girlfriend

Before the writers' strike, we know that:
  • Sam broke off with Todd and moves out
  • While Todd is still living at Sam's apartment
  • Sam realizes she still has feelings for Todd
  • Todd has a new girlfriend, Chloe

What this newest episode tells us:
  • Sam still has feelings for Todd.
  • Todd is asking for Sam's permission to let his new girlfriend, Chloe, live in the apartment
  • Sam agrees
  • Her best friend, Andrea, disagrees and tells her to plant herpes cream inside Chloe's cabinet.
  • The homeowners' board at Sam's apartment also disagrees, saying it's illegal to sublet.
So Sam moves back in with them. Just until the board gets off her back about it. Before this episode turns into a skit based on Three's Company, we then see Chloe threatening Sam while she was sleeping on the couch. And Sam tries to convince Todd his new girlfriend is evil... just like how Sam was before the amnesia.

But...love is blind I guess. Or Todd has this thing for evil women. He tells Chloe he loves her despite knowing her schemes.

And am not liking Chloe. :P

Meanwhile Sam's mother, Regina, receives this one of a kind make-up kit in the mail (there's only 1 million sold all over the world!) and convinces her daughter to do make-overs with her. But when her daughter couldn't make it, on account of the new girlfriend situation, Regina sets her eyes on Sam's other best friend, Deena.

Behold, the transformations:

Wasn't the best episode of Samantha Who. But I'm just glad this show is back on air.

That's so NOT hot!

Heiress Paris Hilton was on My Name is Earl last Thursday. The video below will show how long she appeared on it and what here lines were. Go ahead, watch. It won't take much of your time.

Somebody please tell Paris, "That's hot" is NOT HIP. It's a dumb catchphrase made even dumber by how she looks!

I was having a good time with Earl back on TV after the strike. Forgot Paris was gonna be there. Thank god, she was only on screen for that short amount of time.

When there's nothing good on TV, I turn to my Friends

I'm talking about these Friends:

My son suggested we do another round of marathon. This is like the nth time we're watching it together. The first disc is on the DVD now...

I bet you...we can finish all 40 discs in two days.

This show is such a pick-me-upper!

That's why I love my Friends. :)

Click TV: Brat Packing

On Click TV recently:
Since that's been on my mind for the last two days, I might as well take the Brat Pack Quiz! And it turns out, I'm Samantha from Sixteen Candles... :P

Take the Which Character Am I? Quiz

Darn, there's nothing new on TV! I might as well watch old Brat Pack movies today.

Oh, wait...Pinoy Idol premieres tonight. Are you watching it? 6:30 PM GMA-7.

NBC Unveils 2008-2009 TV Schedule

There's a very long new list for NBC for next season but I am very excited about a lot of what they have to offer:

THE NEW
  • MY OWN WORST ENEMY - starring Christian Slater. Not a fan of his. This one's a rehashed plot, but we'll see... - Edward Albright is an operative who speaks 13 languages, runs a four-minute mile, and is trained to kill with his teeth. Henry and Edward are polar opposites who share only one thing in common -- the same body. When the carefully constructed wall between them breaks down, Henry and Edward are thrust into unfamiliar territory where each man is dangerously out of his element. "My Own Worst Enemy" explores the duality of a man who is literally pitted against himself. And it raises the question: who can you trust when you can't trust yourself?
  • KNIGHT RIDER - They are now trying to make changes to it and they are sprucing up. Which is great since I enjoyed the backdoor pilot. Anything to make it better? Sounds better!
  • CRUSOE - no cast announcements yet but it's described as --- equal parts "MacGyver," "Castaway" and "Pirates of the Caribbean"
  • KINGS with Ian McShane, a David and Goliath saga. Wow. With Ian McShane leading the cast...I'm expecting a lot of intensity.
  • MERLIN. It will be told 21st century style. Interesting...
  • THE PHILANTROPIST - I'm not so eager for this one, because, based just on the premise, I think it's been done before. But I do wanna know how they approach this story and make it fresh and original - Teddy Rist loves women, money and power. After the tragic death of his only child, Teddy has an awakening and becomes the world's first vigilante philanthropist -- a renegade billionaire who uses his wealth, connections and power to help people in need. He'll do anything to achieve his goals -- bargain with the self-righteous, trade with the nefarious and even tell the truth. Instead of spending $25,000 a plate at a fundraiser, he's dodging bullets in third-world countries to hand-deliver vaccine.
  • THE LISTENER - I was thinking they make this one into a comedy series instead, and not take the serious route, no? - In this one-hour drama, Toby Logan (Craig Olejnik, "The Runaway") is a 24-year-old paramedic living with a secret: he can read people's minds. This telepathic procedural takes viewers into the heart of a tortured hero who struggles to solve crimes with his unique gift
  • KATH & KIM starring Molly Shannon. Molly Shannon! I'm so watching this.
THE GOOD
  • Chuck S2 and Heroes S3 are scheduled back to back on Mondays.
  • Lipstick Jungle S2 is up on Wednesday evenings.
  • Friday Night Lights S3 is still alive.
THE BAD
  • No more SCRUBS! I'm hurt. But not so hurt since it's moving to another channel (ABC).
  • Life S2 is moved to the Friday slot, which could kill the show.
These schedules are subject to change. We're going to find out what the other networks have for us TV junkies in six weeks time.

The complete press release and 2008-2009 season schedule is here.

Entertainment News from around and all over

Maybe it's just me but I do feel I've been neglecting good content for this blog, while keeping busy with all the other blogs I keep. I'm saying a promise, to no one in particular but me, that this blog will be juicier once my TV favorites have returned. And it's only a week from now, so...yay!

So, what I'm going to do today is point my dear readers, all three of you, to a few entertainment news:

He did take a sabbatical from the show before, prompting speculations he was tired of his character but William Petersen (Gil Grissom) is staying for Season 9 of CSI.

Ah, this I'm quite excited about: Deadwood star, Ian McShane will be on NBC's new drama series based on King David, entitled, what else but "Kings". NBC is also confirming Knight Rider and The Philanthropist. For a description of what these shows are about, head here.

After its cancellation two or three years ago, The Mole will be back at the end of May, along with other weird and silly reality shows (I Survived a Japanese Game Show, anyone?). It would be my first time watching The Mole, if ever.

New Kids on the Block, reuniting? I know it's not TV News. I just find it amusing.

The Departed becoming a TV Series? OMG. I love the idea!

TR Knight and Katherine Heigl Feud. Hihihihi.

Nickelodeon is doing Spectacular! - their own High School Musical.

That 90210 remake Rob Thomas is making? Has casted its first character, a Dylan McKay type. Rob Thomas has three shows lined-up for the next season, plus a possible reunion with Kristen Bell.

Dawson (James Vander Beek) is heading to How I Met Your Mother. Robin Sparkles will be back, with a new song, to boot.

Click TV: Lost Daddy Woes

What do the characters of Lost have in common? What connection do they have with each other? It's not about those numbers. It's about their Daddy issues... and I've outlined some of it on Click TV.
