Last minute attempts to prevent the strike failed early today as writers in the East Coast time zone, dropped their pencils and walked out of their jobs, while talks were ongoing in the West Coast.And with that, the strike is officially on.
If this goes any longer, we'll begin to see the effects by January or February next year --- TV seasons closing early, reality shows galore, repeats, repeats, repeats.
But if this strike does turn for the better, directors and actors are also up for contract negotiations early next year....which means TV industry will remain shaken up for the remaining season.
