Nikita, aiming for the kill, wearing her red hot monokini. |
Despite being pitted against an opening for the NFL games, Nikita's pilot episode did considerably well, making its debut one of the largest for The CW since January of last year. Ratings also showed that Nikita was able to retain viewership for the whole hour, meaning, not a few people switched channels or dropped the show in the middle of it.
Nikita's numbers: 3.6Million, 1.4Million in its target demographics.
Nikita is the first "girlie" show on The CW that doesn't revolve around high school culture or worldly trends (I'm talking about Gossip Girl, 90210, Melrose Place). In a way, it was an oddball fit for the network.
Things should get interesting later this month, when it goes up against season premieres of shows from the bigger networks.
