I'd be less squeamish watching a man and a woman go at it on Spartacus to be honest. (in which case, it's a man and a woman, a man and a man, or a woman and a woman, or all of that together...)
But despite this...awkwardness....I'm drawn to Girls.
And I still can't explain why.
Of the four female leads, Jessa isn't the most fascinating and complex (spoiled and bratty Hannah is).
But Jessa is someone, who, if she walked in a room? My eyes would be totally drawn to her.
She oozes...European confidence. And her wardrobe choices reflect this.
She's into a lot of soft fabrics and florals, see:
I am loving this chic robe! It's loooong. |
Where to get this pants? Check Possesionista. |
This outfit is hard to pull-off. She does it effortlessly! |
From a magazine pictorial for Girls. These pants are in fashion, apparently. |
Her character, who works as a nanny in the series, is single and boyfriend less. On the style scale, she's like the Carrie Bradshaw of the group, in that she's adventurous. The actress playing her is British actress Jemima Kirke, who is actually a single mom.
Are you watching Girls? There's an ick-factor to it, gotta warn you. But if you can get past that, you would be able to appreciate the storylines. And yes, the clothes, too! :D
