Makeover done!
How do you like it?
Oh, if you're on my network list, blog roll, or what else you call those....you can find your name in this blog's footer.
I'm off to watch something now.
Another theme change heading this site's way. Yeah, sorry....
Sometime ago, we've adopted Phoebe. Over the weekend, Phoebe was joined by her older sister, Eve. And everything about her just screamed beautiful outside, that I wanted what I was seeing inside to be the same. As much as I want to change every theme on every website I visit to complement Eve, the one thing I can truly control, of course, are my own websites. Besides, I learned today that the TV sites I write for 451Press are also going to get a makeover soon. So, I took that as a sign to get things rolling on my end. We're going to get things really pretty.
At about 10 am, I was done with two of my blogs already (Hooray for me!). You can check the changes here and here. Looks alright? Yes? No?
Anyway, you should see this blog with a different look real soon. Or as soon as this headache disappears coz tweaking those sites? No joke. My eyesight is so getting strained.

It's the end of the year, I'm playing tag!
Here’s the rule: Remove 1 question from below, and add in your personal question, make it a total of 20 questions, then tag 8 people in your list, list them out at the end of this post. Notify them in their chat box that he/she has been tagged. Whoever does the tag will have blessings from all.
1. At what age do you wish to marry? I told myself at 18, I'd marry at 25.
2. What color do you like most? Yellow
3. If you have the chance, what would you probably say to your beloved one? Right now it's "WAKE UP, SLEEPYHEAD!"
4. Where is the place that you want to go the most? Anywhere those racers from The Amazing Race go to.
5. Which part of you that you hate the most? My upper torso. It's a lot like Hayden Panettiere's of Heroes...only she's 18 and can get away with it. Get back to her 15 years from now, and we'll see.
6. When you encounter a sad moment, what would you do? Cry.
7. What are you afraid to lose the most? Family. This computer.
8. If you win $1 million, what would you do? Invest. Share. Spend.
9. If you meet someone that you love, would you confess to him/her? Or would you keep it to yourself and observe from afar? If by celebrities I love, I'd observe from afar, worried that I might get a restraining order.
10. List out 3 good points of the person who tagged you. Sweet, pretty, devoted mother.
11. What are the requirements that you wish from your other half? Must Get Me.
12. Till now, what is the moment that you regret the most? I made a lot of mistakes. Have a lot to be sorry for. But I would do them all over again. Except those mistakes that cost me $. Those, I will never do again. LOL.
13. Which type of person do you hate the most? Stupid, ignorant people.
14. What is your ambition? Teacher, behind the scenes at a TV production, Librarian, Veterinarian, Pre-School owner, Forensic Scientist, Mother. I've got more but except for one, it all remained that --- ambitions.
15. If you had one wish what would you wish for? I would wish for more wishes. LOL!
16. How would you celebrate new year? Home, watching TV.
17 Name one of your body part your hubby or boyfriend tells you he adores. I have no idea anymore, LOL.
18. It would be 2008 in a few days, do you have a new year’s resolution? Can never fulfill it, so...no.
19. Who’s your role model? Recently, Nora Holden Walker.
20. [My question] What do you look forward to in 2008? A good change of pace.

It is done...
For now this would do. So...ta-dah!!! Welcome to a new TOO MUCH TV blog!
14 December 2007
Almost done...
I wish I could stick with my aqua green theme, but it just doesn't work with this template. I've decided to keep it plain and simple with the color. For whatever reason, I am partial to a lot of browns lately. Brown is the color of poverty, LOL....and with Christmas depleting most of my cash flow, I'm definitely in that state right now. Then again, brown is the color of the earth....which is actually my element. :)
I'm trying to come up with a newspaper feel for this site, with the photos and the ads providing the loud colors, while everything else is basic and subdued. Are you getting that vibe?
I'm still not done....working on a good lay-out. As if there's still so much more I can do here. Darn free blog host! I've got 690+ post on this blog. It's too difficult to migrate to another server now.
Keep tuned in...

Don't Panic!

There isn't much I can do to change the look of TOO MUCH TV completely. But I'm still going for a site make-over, as this blog badly needs it.
Stay tuned...

Gone for the day....
My husband took this photo in Little India (Singapore) recently. Everytime I look at it, I'm reminded of those lavish TV mini-series. Or Mohinder Suresh. :)
Have a pleasant day, y'all!

Flip-flopping at Ayala, soon...
So, then....I interrupt the program for some pimping.... :)
This is what is partly keeping me busy ---- Our friends and long-time business partners are venturing into the flip-flop biz, bringing the first-ever (?) scented slippers in the country. I've had the pleasure of trying samples on for months and the fragrance would last weeks! The fragrance come from France; the materials of the slippers/flipflops come from somewhere in Europe too ---- I forgot, I wasn't listening since I was checking out their merchandise the last time I was at there place.
They would have opened their store at the Ayala Mall next month, but the Glorietta bombing set them back. Theirs was inconveniently located at G2. So, while waiting for the go from the Ayala people on whether or not they can get back to business, they will be selling Mallos (that's what their brand is) at bazaars.
The scented slippers (Mallos, pronounced as mallows) cost P650 and comes in a pouch and a recyclable green bag.
Watch this space, opening soon.
The hubby and I are pitching in by helping them build their brand on the web and throwing in all sorts of ideas...some crazy, some plain stupid but hopefully there's a goldmine there somewhere.
And I'm putting myself to good use now by writing this down on my blog. Hehe.
Okay, now that that's done....let me get back to my dear old TV shows, already. Ooooh, I've got House in the line-up! Now, I can't set that aside!
Catch ya later.

And now we turn to the news...
Ma'am I, as every student fondly called her during my time, is a favorite among Communication Arts students at the Ateneo.
I just emailed my college e-group about it.... a lot of them are living abroad now, and I know a lot of them keep fond memories of her. She wasn't just a teacher, she was an advisor who taught us with humor and wisdom. Back then, she was already a prominent Gabriella leader.
I fervently pray for her recovery.
Update: As of 11 PM, she's out of the woods. Thank God.

The Joy of Cooking
But lately, my dishes have been ordinary and boring. And as I had been on Youtube yesterday, I thought that if the hubby and I can find immense resources for entertainment in that video-sharing site, could there also be someone sharing recipes, like in the cooking shows I used to watch?
The search tool was the answer and true enough, Youtube has everything.
The first thing I thought to look for was a recipe for Baked Ziti. I had prepared my own recipe for lunch the previous day and it turned out to be more of a Carbonara and I wasn't too happy about it. Finding this guy's video will now be a great help to me, the next time I plan to cook this meal.
Next, the hubby wanted to know the secrets of a Pomodoro sauce...so with him, we searched for it on Youtube and stumbled upon this video (below). And then we realized that we have found another goldmine for entertainment. We were looking for recipes, we found comedy.
Other than the cooking instructions, what made this particular video fun to watch was the manner in which the Chef prepared the dish. He was just absolutely MESSY! I do not know if this was something the Chef intended to do, I still think he's really a chef, despite the presentation. But while the video was running, the hubby, who is a much better cook than 10 people I know, was doing his own commentary...which made viewing it all the more funnier.
Chef instructions: 3 tbsp of olive oil...
Hubby: 3 tbsp? Eh, ang dami naman niyan....sinabawang olive oil yata yan?!
*Chef adds herbs and spices and puts it on the sauce*
Hubby: Nagmukha na yatang guisadong pechay yung pomodoro?
The next recipe we searched for was the salsa...something similar to Pollo Loco's. We didn't find what we wanted but stumbled upon this guy who demonstrated how to prepare Mexican Salsa. Good enough... but his video had something better. His ingredients called for limons and abrocadoes. Oooh boy, our face muscles were far too stretched from laughing about it!
But in all fairness, the cook is very, very good. In fact, his page is now bookmarked and I'm doing a couple of his recipes today.
I could have stayed up all night watching more cooking shows on Youtube. Can't believe there's really so much more to discover in here. So sometime today, I'm doing another round of video searches.
Oh, don't forget to read the comments when you watch the videos in their respective Youtube pages. :)

Scare Pranks
When my son was about 3 or 4 years old, his father asked the both of us to sit in front of the computer and watch this silly Christmas video on screen. Naturally, our boy was all giddy, seeing Santa dance and everything. Until the face of an ugly witch flashed on screen, with a screaming audio to boot, causing my son to jump up his seat, cry hysterically and beat up his father with his tiny fist.
I think that scarred him for life. His reaction was very much like what happened to this boy.
And guess what, I found a bunch of these scare prank videos on Youtube.
Like this one, with an adult who literally fell off her chair while watching it at work:
And what about this one, with Grandma:
Did anyone every really die of a heart attack from all this?
Belated Halloween, everyone!

Ugh. With so much to do this week, I was not been able to watch a quarter of shows on my list. And November Sweeps is starting. I don't think I can catch up.
On the brighter side, this week's long holiday is a time for family bonding. Slowing down on TV watching affords me to spend time with my big extended family, on both sides.
- Extended in-laws from abroad are visiting.
- My cousins and their kids are coming over. Since school is out, the kids have more time to play. Or fight. Whatever comes first.
- Our baby niece is learning how to react to people now. Watching her, talking to her --- it takes all the tiredness I feel away.
- My son and his elder half-sister are catching up on each other and that's great.

Daemons
A friend of mine lent us the Dark Materials series to read before we go and watch The Golden Compass (showing in December). Incidentally, if you visit their official website, there's a quiz there that tells you what your Daemon is. A Daemon in The Golden Compass is like a pet you have with you all the time. Except that, that pet is your "soul". If it dies, you also die.
Daemons are supposedly a reflection of your personality traits. So, the hubby, my son and I took the quiz to find out what creature best represents who we are.
Hubby had a really interesting result, his Daemon was like this magnificent bird or whats-it-called, I forgot. My son's Daemon was a Jaguar or Panther, I forgot too but it was something beastly.
And guess what mine was? A little lady bug (ladybird in the UK)!!!! It's the tamest, safest Daemon you can get. And that could only mean one thing --- I was boring.
Hubby: Kapamilya ng ipis yan, eh! Ipis! Ipis!
Me: Aahhhh! Ang corny ko talaga! Hindi ako ipis! Ang baduy ko! Bakit kayo ang gaganda ng creatures niyo?
My son was laughing at my results and got teased endlessly. :P
Anyway, so.... my TV viewing list is piling up. I'll better hurry up and catch some of it later today. But not without leaving these news first, check it!
- Tomorrow, the trailer for 24 Season 7 will be up at 24Trailer. The show will begin in January 2008.
- Prison Break spin-off, Cherry Hill, in the works!
- Amazing Race Season 12 premieres on Nov. 4! This was originally planned for airing in February 2008 but Viva Laughlin has been canceled and that time slot is now ready for another show to occupy.
- CSI and Without A Trace is doing a cross-over. Mother of All Crime Dramas, that's just WOW! The episode will air on November 8. I plan to watch that as soon as it airs.
