Have you watched Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog's ACT 1 yet? Dr. Horrible is Joss Whedon's idea hatched during the writers' strike:
The idea was to make it on the fly, on the cheap – but to make it. To turn out a really thrilling, professionalish piece of entertainment specifically for the internet. To show how much could be done with very little. To show the world there is another way. To give the public (and in particular you guys) something for all your support and patience. And to make a lot of silly jokes. Actually, that sentence probably should have come first.
"Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" will be streamed, LIVE (that part's not true), FREE (sadly, that part is) right on Drhorrible.com, in mid-July. Specifically:
ACT ONE (Wheee!) will go up Tuesday July 15th.
ACT TWO (OMG!) will go up Thursday July 17th.
ACT THREE (Denouement!) will go up Saturday July 19th.
All acts will stay up until midnight Sunday July 20th. Then they will vanish into the night, like a phantom.

What's this about, really? Here's what Joss said about when and why this production came about:
During the strike I started writing a musical intended as a limited internet series, 3 episodes of approximately 10 minutes each. Writing with me was my brother Jed, his fiancee Maurissa, and my other brother Zack. To my shock and surprise, we finished it. To my greater shock and surprise, we managed (with the help of many people I'll be praising at length soon) to drag it into preproduction (yes, just as DOLLHOUSE was given a start date two months away and all my comics were due.) And today, after a grueling week of writing everything ever while trying to be a producer, I got to start shooting. A musical.
This much I will say: It's the story of a low-rent super-villain, the hero who keeps beating him up, and the cute girl from the laundromat he's too shy to talk to. And I'm having the time of my life.
"DOCTOR HORRIBLE'S SING-ALONG BLOG"
Neil Patrick Harris.....as Dr. Horrible Nathan Fillion..........as Captain Hammer Felicia Day.............as Penny
And a cast of Dozens!
And here, my friends, is the teaser:
Bummed that it's just going to be on for one week. Though, I'm quite sure someone somewhere is going to grab the videos and distribute it elsewhere.
But wouldn't it be great if they made this into an actual TV series? I feel it's going to trump Heroes big time.
